Thanks, Coach!

To the Editor,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank one of the Babe Ruth American Majors coaches, Mr John Modzelewski. In addition to on the field coaching, John spent countless hours getting rain drenched fields in playing condition, a selfless donation of free time that often went unnoticed. He recognized the unique talents of each of his players, brought out the best in them, and under his leadership they steadily improved to the point of finding themselves in the championship game.

In the years I’ve spent as an assistant coach in the Babe Ruth League, I’ve had the privilege of working with many talented coaches and helpful dads who recognize that time spent with aspiring young baseball players is priceless. But John consistently went above and beyond and I would like to publicly say to him... thanks, Coach.
