Hunter Pace Was A Success

To the Editor,

The NBLA wished to thank the dedicated members who donated that precious commodity, time, and made the Spring Into Summer Hunter Pace a huge success. A tremendous effort was put forth by those members who rose early from bed and volunteered that day of Pace to set up booths, track finish and start times, coordinate parking, meet and greet riders, accept registration forms, mark trails, and those who directed traffic and allowed horse and rider safely across Mile Hill Road. To all those who stayed late to clean up the mess after the dust settled, thank you! Gratitude is bestowed upon Toby Tamblyn, Chick Trayford, David McCauley, Bev and Beth MacMillan, Dan, Rena, and Cindy Fogliano, Jeff and Susan Racow, Andrea and Kerry Brosnan, Dan and Lynn Purus, Marcye Britt, Sue Hamilton, Jill Stilson and John Hemberger, Bob Miller, Debbie Carslon, Chrys Emery, and anyone who lent a hand making this event possible.

The MBLA is especially grateful and wishes to thank 2nd Company Governor’s Horse Guard including Capt Peter Concilio, Capt Gordon McNeil, Sgt Dan Messner, Sgt Karen deFriesse, 1st Lt Michael Safarewitz, Sgt Tim Larkin, and the entire 2nd Company who shared their lovely facility and manicured trails with the NBLA for use in the Spring Into Summer Hunter Pace. The NBLA looks forward to a continued friendship with the 2nd Co. Gov Horse Guard and a shared interest in Newtown’s equine activities including the Turkey Trot Ride for St Jude Children’s Hospital scheduled this fall.

We also would like to thank our generous sponsors, Bit of Tack, Dan’s Frontier Store, and All the Kings Horses, for their support of the NBLA and their donation of gift certificates awarded at the spring hunter pace.

Thank you to the Town of Newtown for allowing us to set up our computer in their garage in keeping accurate score.

Thanks to you all!

Sincerely,

Missy Gregson, Chairman-NBLA,

and Cindy Miller, President- NBLA
