A Job Well Done
A Job Well Done
To the Editor,
Just a great big thank you and a job well done to a few people who really care about other people.
On Sunday afternoon, June 18, 2000, at the Edmond Town Hall, after seeing My Dog Skip, the current movie, I went to stand up, but promptly fell back into my seat. After pulling myself up again and staggering along the walls, out the balcony doors, and up into one of the projection booth seats, I told Tom Mahoney that I was getting ready to pass out. Well, in the blink of an eye he rushed downstairs and back again with a cold bottle of mineral spring water. When that did not work out, within 10 minutes he had my brother and his wife, Richard and Teresa Tortora, along with an emergency crew from the Newtown Ambulance Association, ready to take me to Danbury Hospital.
Once I was wheeled into Danburyâs Emergency Entrance doorways, I sighed a sigh of complete relief.
So again, thank you from the bottom of my heart, Tim, Richard, Teresa, and the entire crew of that ambulance who got me safe and sound to Danbury Hospital with such class and professionalism, and to Dr William Begg and his staff that Sunday at the hospital who put me at ease and tied up all of my loose ends; I wish all of you a long and healthy and happy life.
Sincerely Yours,
Joseph S. Tortora
