Broadway Steps Dancers Take Home Awards
BROOKFIELD â Three students from the Broadway Steps dance studio recently participated in the âI Love Danceâ competition at Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Waterbury, bringing home first place awards for their efforts.
Karlianne Seri of New Fairfield, age 7, won first place for Jazz Solo and first place for Lyrical Duo; Isabelle Miner of Bethel, age 7, took first place for Lyrical Duo and Hip-Hop Duo; and James Jandrok of Roxbury, age 8, also won first place in Hip-Hop Duo.
Broadway Steps will present its sixth annual recital this weekend at Newtown High School. The public is invited to the event, which will be Saturday, June 24, beginning at 7 pm.
Tickets are $10 each and will be available at the door.
Registration is open for summer and fall classes with Broadway Steps, as well as summer camps and the studioâs Nutcracker production scheduled for late fall in New York City. For additional information concerning the studio contact artistic director Jeri Kansas at 740-1133.
