Panel To Discuss Aging Issues
At FCC Annual Meeting
A panel discussion on âAging and the Effects on the Familyâ will be part of the annual meeting of the Family Counseling Center, Inc., scheduled for Monday, June 26, in the community room of the C.H. Booth Library on Main Street.
Dr Morton H. Silberstein, chairman of The Homesteads at Newtown, will be a panel member. Dr Silberstein is a board certified adult psychiatrist with more than 30 years of experience in private practice, consultation, and geriatric psychiatry. He will be joined on the panel by Ray Zalasky, a social worker from the protective services unit at the State Department of Social Services, and Diana Rackey, a nurse practitioner with Community Health Associates in Newtown.
The annual meeting will begin at 7:30 pm followed by the panel presentation at 8 pm. The public is invited to attend.
The Family Counseling Center is a state-licensed mental health clinic and a nationally accredited family service agency serving individuals and families who live or work in the Greater Danbury area. It is located at 121 Mt Pleasant Road in Newtown. A United Way agency, the center has a sliding scale and participates in most insurance plans including Medicaid and Medicare.
