Scholar-Athletes

Newtown High School seniors Rich Engel and Kristen Bandura were recently honored as scholar athletes by the South-West Conference (SWC). Rich, who is headed to Fordham University, excelled at both soccer and basketball during his high school career and graduated with the eighth best grade point average in his class. Kristen, headed to the University of Richmond, was a standout athlete at both field hockey and softball and graduated 14th in her class.                                            - Bee Photo, Bigham
