WAAâs Annual Clothesline Sale Expands To Feature Crafts Show And Dance
WASHINGTON DEPOT âWashington Art Association is holding its 9th Annual Clothesline Sale on Saturday, July 1, and Sunday, July 2. In what promises to be a memorable weekend of activities, several new events, including a crafts show and a dance party featuring the music of The Dan Pitchard Band, are being held in conjunction with the sale.
All events will take place, rain or shine, at Washington Town Hall in Bryan Plaza. Hours will be 10 am to 4 pm both days.
The Clothesline Sale itself will feature work from artists throughout Litchfield County and beyond. The sale is an excellent showcase for a large and exciting array of work from both new and more established artists. Prices range from $30 to $600, and features work in oils, acrylics, watercolor, sculpture, photographs, original prints, and other works on paper.
The crafts show will be under a tent outside the town hall building and will feature a variety of works from area craftspeople.
On Sunday from 5 pm until dark, the public is invited to pack a basket and join WAA members and exhibiting artists for a picnic on the lawn of Bryan Town Hall.
Sundayâs events also include a dance party, which will be held in the town hall from 7:30 to 11 pm. The party is open to all at $10 per person. Light refreshments will be served.
The dance party will feature the blues, boogie and swing music of The Dan Pitchard Band. The band, which has built up a following in the area over the years, has performed at numerous clubs and other venues throughout Connecticut and New York State.
