Eden Hill Road
Police report that a girl under age 18 was driving a golf cart southward near 39 Eden Hill Road about 1:18 pm June 19, when she turned the vehicle in order to avoid a bump in the road, but the golf cart rolled over, injuring both her and a passenger who also is under age 18.
Police did not provide the identities of the two youths.
The Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps transported the youths to Danbury Hospital for treatment of abrasions, police said. Dodgingtown firefighters responded to the incident.
Police said they issued the golf cart driver an infraction.
DUI Arrest
About 3:34 pm June 19, motorist Charles Koch, 53, of 1 Sweet Meadow Road was driving an unspecified motor vehicle on Boggs Hill Road, near its intersection with Willow Brook Lane, when the vehicle collided with a utility pole, police report.
Following an investigation, police charged Koch with driving under the influence and with failure to drive to the right. Police released Koch on $100 bail for a July 1 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Dodgingtown firefighters went to the accident.
Driving Fast
While on speed enforcement patrol near 21 Swamp Road about 9:30 am June 23, police spotted motorist Nargess Rahmati, 63, of Brookfield driving 50 miles per hour in a 25-mph zone, so they stopped Rahmati.
Police charged Rahmati with traveling unreasonably fast and with driving with a suspended license.
Rahmati was released on a written promise to appear in court on July 7.
