Three MV Charges
Police report they stopped motorist Thomas Santella, 21, of 12 Yearling Lane near 6 Old Farm Hill Road at about 12:47 pm on June 18 for a motor vehicle violation.
Police said that after investigating, they charged Santella with traveling unreasonably fast, driving with a suspended license, and with an automotive insurance violation.
 Santella was released on a written promise to appear in court on June 30.
PT Cruiser
At about 1:10 pm on June 16, motorist Carolyn Downing, 82, of Southbury, who was driving a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser, was making a right turn from Queen Street onto Church Hill Road, when Downing oversteered and became involved in a one-vehicle accident, police report.
Downing was not injured. Police issued her a written warning for making an improper right turn.
Ford Vs Ford
A two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of South Main Street and Ethan Allen Road about 2:40 pm June 14.
Motorist Robert Virgalla, 59, of 10 Flintrock Trail, who was driving a 1997 Ford F-150 pickup truck, was attempting to make a left turn from a stop sign on westbound Ethan Allen Road onto southbound South Main Street, as motorist Gabriel Garcia, 25, of Monroe was driving a 2000 Ford Focus northward on South Main Street, police said.
The two Fords collided. Garcia was treated at the scene by ambulance volunteers for minor injuries, police said. Virgalla received a written warning for failure to grant the right of way, stated the police report.
