Magical Season For Midnight Magic

Smith Miller Construction’s Midnight Magic baseball team won the 9-year-old division championship game on June 20, beating the Warriors 13-7.

Eric Moore and James Heran had strong pitching outings, and were backed by a hitting attack led by Jack Miller, Doug Carriero, Tommy Phaneuf, and Jake Holman. Cody Camputaro, Dominic Scalzo, Thomas Briscoe, Thomas Fitzgerald, and Elliott Siegel were solid on defense. The Magic opened up the game with five runs in the first inning and never looked back. The win capped a 13-4-1 season for the team, which went undefeated in the playoffs. The Warriors’ attack was led by James Clifford, Robert Murray, and Jack Oltran, all of whom had solid pitching and hitting performances despite playing a doubleheader on a hot humid day.
