NEBA Playoff Highlights

Playoff highlights from the New England Bounce About U10 softball team’s run to the championship are as follows:

NEBA 5, Nuzzo Electric 2: NEBA entered the 10U playoffs seeded fourth in the five team division, but with their heads held high the girls managed to pull off not only one, but three victories. In their first game vs Nuzzo Electric, Alli Eurell made a key catch in the outfield in the third. Nicki Lillis had a RBI which tied the game. NEBA prevailed in extra innings.

 NEBA 7, Coalition Equipment 4: NEBA scored two runs early in the game. A sharp play from Kaelana Dauber helped make an out at first, which kept the game close. Larkin Huffman hit a single to help the runners advance on the bases.

NEBA 4, Claim Services International 2 (championship): NEBA won the U10 championship game at Dickenson Park in June 12.  The team was led by strong pitching performances by Rachel O’Grady and Grace Erney. Early hitting from Julia Anderson, Natalie Shaker, and Rachel Daum staked NEBA to a 4-1 lead. Outstanding defense from Casey Muckell and a putout at home from Rose Wheway preserved the win. For CSI, Emily Bell led the way, knocking in both runs and playing some great defense at third base. Rylee Mulligan had two hits and scored both runs for CSI. Leah Hushion pitched a perfect 1-2-3 inning to keep the game close.
