Outrageous Proceedings

To the Editor:

I read the article about the Board of Education FOI complaint with shock, disbelief and disgust. What kind of pompous presumptive people would assume to schedule and then proceed to hold a Kangaroo Court to judge another elected member of their body. There was no personal notice, no advance justification, and obviously no proper control by the very lax chairman who did not stop the outrageous proceeding or ask the superintendent to leave.

And what is the reference to a board “retreat.” Is that a further retreat from proper conduct or from reality? In the 22 years I served on the council if any member had so grotesquely grievously tried to question my actions they would still be running! How very shameful! What a terrible example of disgraceful behavior to set before the parents and children of Newtown. Had those involved any sense of fair play, they would hasten to resign. What ever happened to Nicer In Newtown?
