Power Networking Hosts Second Session At Masonicare
Power Networking Hosts Second Session At Masonicare
The Power Network, a business networking group formed in conjunction with the Monroe and Newtown Chambers of Commerce, are hosting a speed networking event June 29, at Masonicare of Newtown, 139 Toddy Hill Road.
Hors dâoeuvres will be served at 5:30 pm, and networking will begin promptly at 6. With a maximum of 40 spots available for participants, networking will continue until 9.
Speed Networking is a networking event with an accelerated twist. The program is specifically designed to allow attendees the quick and entertaining opportunity to introduce themselves and pitch their company to other people in business.
With a unique format, participants of Speed Networking will meet more people, make more contacts, and generate more business ideas in one short evening than they ever thought was possible at a networking event. With all participants seated in pairs, the Speed Networking sessions will commence.
During each fast-paced session, participants will be able to network face-to-face. After the end of each session, participants will quickly alternate their seating arrangements to pair up with their next networking opportunity. This process will continue until all participants have interacted with each other.
This is the second time this group is hosting an event of this nature. One representative from each business is invited and advised to bring plenty of business cards.
Regular meetings of the group are held at My Place Restaurant, 8 Queen Street, on the third Thursday of each month. Those meetings begin at 8 am and typically end by 9:15 am.
Local regular members of the group include: Steven Cousins, attorney at law; Robert Mazal, Stepney Chiropractic Center; Marie Martelli, Home Helpers & Direct Link; Jan Snyder, Newtown Savings Bank; Tony Chieffo, Home Helpers & Direct Link; Mario Bonito, Northwestern Mutual; and Harriette Treviño, Bullâs Head Printers.
Other regular Power Network participants are: Jack Heslin; Maureen Birden, Newtown Savings Bank; Bob Cargill, Cargill Photo; Kevin Byrnes; Wendy Grasso, Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home; Jaime Coehlo, Eurokleen; Tricia Farin, Jantris Marketing Services; Stephen Hodson, Hodson Realty; Ralph Mazal, Economy Fuel; and Mike Neiman, Captain Wood Carpentry.
The cost to participate in the June 29 event is $15 for Newtown/Monroe Chamber members and $20 for nonmembers. Contact Maureen Birden at 203-364-2915, to RSVP or to obtain further details.
