Wednesday Carillon Concerts

Returning For 2010

DANBURY — The Danbury Cultural Commission and St James Episcopal Church, 25 West Street, invite the public to free performances on the church’s Ella S. Bulkley Carillon on five Wednesday afternoons this season.

This year’s schedule will open with Kristin O’Connor, from the host church as well as Western Connecticut State University.

Additional guests will include: July 7, Dave Johnson (Noyse Memorial Carillon, House of Hope Presbyterian Church, St Paul, Minn.); July 14, Gordon Slater (Laureate Dominion Carillonneur of Canada); July 21, Marcel Sieber (City Carollonneur, Venlo & Cujik, the Netherlands); and July 28, George Matthew Jr (Carollonneur, Middlebury College & Norwich Univ, Vt.).

Chairs will be placed in the church garden for everyone’s enjoyment. Performances will run from 12:30 to 1 pm. Cool beverages will be available.

The concerts are partially funded by Danbury Cultural Commission and are free of charge.
