World Class Graduation Exercises

To the Editor:

This past Thursday, I had the pleasure of attending graduation exercises for Newtown High School. The event was adorned by all the “pomp and circumstance” befitting such wonderful students in the Class of 2010.

Ladies and gentlemen, you have reclaimed the rightful place of Newtown as second to none with quality, character, and achievement. I ride on the coattails of your success being only one of many teachers who served you along the way. Thank you for that privilege!

Principal Dumais, I also want to thank you publicly for your integrity, courage, and leadership. I see a “blue ribbon” around a new beginning that was symbolized by the demeanor of your graduates that evening.

And yes, Ben, there won’t be any need for “Freddie” ever again!
