Thank You To Women Involved In Newtown
To the Editor,
Thank you for your recent article on June 2, entitled âWith Summer Come Worries About Insect-Borne Diseases,â written by Steve Bigham.
We would also like to express our appreciation to the Women Involved in Newtown âWINâ for their generous donation of books and a video to the Cyrenius H. Booth Library for education and awareness of Lyme disease. The following are the donated materials now available to check out at the library: Coping With Lyme Disease, by Denise Lang, two copies; Everything You Need to Know About Lyme Disease and Other Tick-Borne Disorders, by Karen Vanderhoof-Forschner, two copies; The Widening Circle, by Polly Murray, and a poignant and informative video entitled Dr Charles Ray Jones and the Children of Lyme.
We believe it is crucial for people living or visiting in our community to educate and protect themselves on ticks and Lyme disease.
Thank you again to WIN for these valuable resources.
Sincerely,
Maggie Shaw, Vicki McColl
