NEW HAVEN â The 2000 Pilot Pen Tennis Tournament is searching for its second annual Tennis Mom of the Year. Could it be you?
âIn our efforts to make Pilot Pen tennis the largest attended womenâs only tennis event in the country, our company recognizes the important role that moms play in helping to further popularize and promote the sport of tennis with young people,â said Ron Shaw, president and CEO of Pilot Pen Corporation.
The winning mom will win a trip to the 2000 Pilot Pen, where she will be honored for her efforts.
Karen Gillespie of Weston and Marcy Rubinstein of Trumbull were the winners last year.
To be eligible, moms must be nominated by anyone who has been influenced by their participation and efforts in amateur tennis. A letter which details her work in tennis and provides her name, phone number and address must be submitted by July 28 to Pilot Pen Tennis Mom of the Year, c/o Alan Taylor Communications, 225 West 34th Street, Suite 610, New York, NY, 10122.
