Christopher Capozziello

Christopher Capozziello, 59, of Travelers Rest, SC passed away peacefully after a short illness. Born in Bridgeport, CT on October 30, 1965 to Lawrence Capozziello, Sr. and Alicia Barry Capozziello, Chris was raised in Newtown. He graduated Henry Abbott Technical High School and furthered his education at Waterbury State Technical College, graduating with an Associate of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology. Chris worked in the precision manufacturing industry for 30 years. He was the owner of Quality Machine & Tool Co. in Norwalk CT for 20 years.

While raising his two sons, Chris often coached various sports and when not coaching he could be seen cheering on the sidelines. Chris overcame many obstacles in his life and embraced the opportunity to live life to the fullest when relocating to Travelers Rest, SC in 2019 with his love, Beth Caldwell. They created a beautiful life that included traveling, hiking, running, volunteering and enjoying time with friends and family. Remaining involved in his children’s lives he and Beth traveled to Costa Rica for his son Patrick’s wedding and proudly stood up for him in 2022. Chris was an avid runner and competed in a 10K race as recently as April of this year.

Chris is survived by his loving son Patrick and wife Kimberly of Danbury, brothers Michael Capozziello and wife Alicia of Waldport, Ore, and Lawrence Capozziello, Jr., and wife Debbie of Waterbury, and sisters Patricia Oberg and husband Carl of New Milford, and Susan Marcinek of Southbury. Chris also leaves behind his true love, Beth Caldwell, her son Aaron Caldwell and grandson Myles Caldwell and several nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, Chris was predeceased by his son, Thomas.

In his final days Chris spoke of the many people who had an impact on his life and hoped that he also made an impact on others as well. He can rest well knowing that he did indeed have a great impact on others.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Dickinson Town Park pavilion on September 27, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Donations in Chris’s name can be made to Meals on Wheels, attn. Beth Caldwell, 10 Alice Kelley Court, Travelers Rest, SC, 29690 or St. Jude at stjude.org.

Thanks to family, friends and the medical staff who supported and loved Chris in his final journey.
