FOR 7/11 CAPE COD ANTIQUE DEALERS ASSOCIATION INC. SHOW POST JUNE 1 SHOW
AK/cd #744858 set 7/7
SANDWICH, MASS. â Mother Nature cooperated with Cape Cod Antiques Dealers Associationâs 29th Annual Spring Outdoor Antiques Show and Sale on June 1. Held on the upper Parade Field at Heritage Museum and Gardens, this show has a history of rainy days, but with the two large tents, the dealers were protected from all the elements. Some exhibitors preferred to set up their own tents around the perimeter of the field.
There was a steady flow of customers throughout the show hours and most dealers reported good sales of such items as stoneware, Nantucket baskets, wicker, yellowware, sets of chairs, jewelry, silver, Dedham pottery, artwork, weathervanes, a large painted storage chest attributed to Nancy Whorf and any small items.
Most of the exhibitors were happy with the new location and thought that the level field was a big plus especially when setting up furniture â there were no wobbly legs to contend with. The famous Dexter rhododendrons were in full bloom, and the route up to the show site was a visual delight. Shuttle carts were on hand to transport customers and their purchases to and from the show site.
