Mechanical Engineer

Walter Joseph Condon, Sr, age 76, of Pequannock, N.J., died July 2 at home. Born in New York City, he resided in Lincoln Park, N.J., for many years, recently moving to Pequannock. He was the father of Kenneth Condon of Newtown.

Mr Condon was a mechanical engineer and commercial property manager in New York City for many years before retiring in 1994. He met his beloved wife Frances 60 years ago and they married seven years after.

Besides his wife and son Kenneth, Mr Condon is survived by son and daughter-in-law Walter Jr and Marjorie; daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Garry Conklin; daughter and son-in-law Kathleen and Michael Hoskins, and daughter-in-law Beckett.

He was the cherished “Pa” of 13 grandchildren and dearest brother-in-law of Mary Ann Greco.

Family and friends gathered on July 7 at Keri Memorial Funeral Home in Lincoln Park, and then for Mass at St Josephs Church, also in Lincoln Park.  Memorial contributions to the John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack Medical Center would be appreciated.
