Relay Season

To the Editor:

As team captain for Walking for a Silver Lining Relay For Life team, I would like to thank Necole Salvesen and all the wonderful chair people for giving Newtown an amazing fifth Relay. It was a very memorable and heartwarming event. Thank you for all the time you dedicated to Relay, we are very grateful!

We would like to thank the following area businesses for participating in our May Day For Relay fundraiser. They are My Place Restaurant, Nina Nail Spa, Red Rooster Deli, Red Garage, Genesis Hair Studio, Katherine’s Kitchen, The Ice Cream Shop, Villarina’s Pasta Shop, Bentley Cleaners, Our Green House, Newtown Car Wash, and Tollgate Groomers.

We would also like to thank the following for their very generous contributions to our team: Diane Frazzetta of Lia Sophia jewelry, Entrees Made Easy, The Sound Tigers, The Dressing Room, Lori Schulze of Southern Living, The Downtown Cabaret, Sandra Doski of Premier Jewelry, Gayann Hass, Nails and Beyond, Tom Mahoney of Edmond Town Hall, Michele Spader of Tupperware, Bridgeport Bluefish, Laurie Lynn Jewelry, Graceful Planet, Susie Meyer of Pampered Chef, and the Newtown Junior Women’s Club.

Lastly, I would like to thank my incredible team members who keep me going with their enthusiasm and dedication. Together we raised over $21,000 for the American Cancer Society. Thank you for a wonderful Relay season! We will be looking forward to Relay in 2009!
