A recent update by the Connecticut Economic Research Center, Inc (CERC) to its 50-state database shows Connecticut slipping to number three in Gross State Product per capita with $58,395 trailing Delaware ($70,784) and Arkansas ($60,676). Connecticut also slipped out of the number one spot for highest average annual income ($54,814), falling to New York ($55,479).Â
CERC provides economic data for Connecticut and its 169 towns, but the state-by-state analysis compares the 50 states to each other and as the country as a whole. The comprehensive database includes information on 102 different indicators ranging from average income to air pollution. Connecticut has the highest second highest average teacherâs salary of $60,822 and also ranked second in average ACT score with 23.2.
