WeCAHR Receives $2,000 Donation
DANBURY â The Western Connecticut Association for Human Rights (WeCAHR) has received a donation of $2,000 from the Federal Home Loan and Bank of Boston (FHLB) and member organization Union Savings Bank. WeCAHR is a nonprofit organization in Danbury that works with disabled adults and children to promote their independence and personal growth within the community.
Union Savings Bank applied for a $1,000 grant though FHLBâs Grants for New England Partnerships (GNP) Program. GNP grants are awarded in an effort to build strong partnerships between community-based nonprofit organizations, such as WeCAHR, and FHLB member institutions.
After receiving the grant, Union Savings Bank decided to match it, providing a total donation of $2,000 to WeCAHR to assist with its continuous development and to help the organization continue providing training and services to the disabled.
