True Magic

To the Editor:

“Books may be the only true magic” was what brought thousands of shoppers to the Friends of the C.H. Booth Library’s 35th Annual Book Sale this past weekend. And while in town, those book sale patrons also enjoyed SCAN’s Municipal Center Art Show, the Organic Farmers’ Market, shopping, and meals at our local restaurants.

The Friends of the Library volunteers wish to thank the following book sale supporters. Without them, the sale wouldn’t be quite as much fun: Jeff Smith, A Sign Depot; Tony Posca, Andrea’s Pastry Shop; Eunice, Bagel Delight; Big Y; Boy Scout Troop 70; Caraluzzi’s Markets; Carminuccio’s Pizza; C.H. Booth Library Board of Trustees and library staff; Dan Shields, Chartwells Food Service; Elissa Gellis, Continuing Education; Ivan, CT VIP Relocations; Costco; Curtis Packaging; Jeff Dymerksi, Dunkin’ Donuts; Ralph Freer, Eastern Color Graphics and Printing; McKinney Communications; Matt Memoli and Amanda Hadgraft and their Newtown High School teams; Newtown Police Department; Pudelz Tee Shirts; Reed Intermediate School administration, staff, and wonderful custodians; Stew Leonard’s; Stop & Shop; Nancy Crevier and The Newtown Bee; the Town of Newtown; World of Wine and Spirits. Thank you!

Proceeds of the book sale directly enhance the C.H. Booth Library’s book, audio books, and DVD collections, its subscription services, as well as its technological needs.

Sincerely,

Denise Kaiser
