If you could run for the office of President of the United States, what would be the top issue on your campaign platform and why?

Keith Richter: “Campaign finance reform. I think the system is corrupt. The role of big corporations and PACs [Political Action Committees] is influencing politicians more than the average voter.”

Laurie Clark: “Education. You shouldn’t have to feel the need to put your children into private school. All kids deserve a great public education.”

Myra Beland: “Social Security. The costs of hospitalization and medication are too expensive. We need to lower the costs.”

Doris Hanley: “Restructure the social welfare system. I think there is too much waste in the federal government, particularly with regard to the welfare program.”

George Grumman: “Education. I have a son going to college this fall. Education needs to be more accessible.”

Thesiesa Rosenthal: “I would like to bring people together, so there are no more race problems.”
