Ritter-Petito Are Next At Gate House
SOUTHBURY â The Gate House Café Concert Series will present Leslie Ritter and Scott Petito as the next performers in the free outdoor concert series. The duo will be playing on Tuesday, July 22, at 6:30 pm.
The Gate House Café is on Route 172, on the grounds of Southbury Training School, three miles north of I-84 Exit 14.
In case of rain, the concert will be held under the Bobowick Pavilion; follow signs. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, etc, for seating. The Gate House Café will be open and selling food and beverages.
Leslie Ritter is an accomplished vocalist and songwriter. Her Shanachie release, Take Me Home, placed two singles on the Adult Contemporary charts, including the infectious cover of the Yes song âYour Move.â Ms Ritter is a well-respected session singer who has appeared on recordings with Dr John, Rick Danko, Livingston Taylor and many others. Her earthy, evocative voice has been praised by fans and critics alike.
Scott Petitoâs distinctive fretless bass and expressive guitar work has graced hundreds of recordings. His studio credits range from James Taylor to The Band, from Keith Richards to Dave Brubeck. As a producer his recordings have earned Grammy nominations, Top 40 singles and gold records.
