Newtown Youth and Family Services (NYFS) is thrilled to recognize a generous $1,500 donation from NewSylum Brewing Company, further strengthening a partnership that continues to uplift the Newtown community. With this most recent contribution, NewSylum’s total giving to NYFS now stands at an impressive $7,700 over the past four years.

In May, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, NewSylum hosted its annual “Pours for Therapy” initiative, donating proceeds from specialty pours to support NYFS’s mental health and youth services programs. In addition, NewSylum graciously provided the venue for the inaugural Keys for a Cause Dueling Piano event — a sold-out fundraiser that brought energy, awareness, and compassion to the cause of community mental wellness.

Julie Schmitter, director of development at NYFS, said, “This event was an incredible opportunity not only to raise funds but to build awareness about mental health challenges in our community and to highlight how NYFS is here to help.”

The ongoing support from NewSylum is an example of how local businesses can make a meaningful difference. Their contributions help NYFS expand critical services and ensure that children, teens, and adults have access to the care and support they need to thrive.

“We are beyond grateful for NewSylum’s continued partnership and generosity,” Schmitter added. “Their commitment is helping to create a stronger, healthier Greater Newtown Community.”
