Police said that at about 6:30 pm July 18, they stopped motorist Xavier Rodriguez, 26, of Bridgeport near 150 South Main Street to investigate.
Police charged Rodriguez with hanging an obstructing object from an interior rear-view mirror, driving a vehicle with a suspended registration, and failure to have automotive insurance.
Rodriguez was released on a written promise to appear July 29 in Danbury Superior Court.
Mt Pleasant Road
At about 8:40 pm on July 13, motorist Robert Myers, 49, of Bethel, who was driving a 2004 Dodge Dakota pickup truck northward on Mt Pleasant Road, near its intersection with Academy Lane, slowed his vehicle and was then struck from behind by northbound motorist Jacob Browning, 19, of 3 Cold Spring Road, who was driving a1994 Nissan Sentra coupe, according to police.
There were no injuries. Police verbally warned Browning for following too closely.
Subaru Vs Volvo
Motorist Catherine Winkler, 53, of 149 Currituck Road, who was driving a 2005 Volvo XC-70 station wagon northward near 19 South Main Street about 5:22 pm July 12, stopped for traffic conditions, after which the Volvo was hit from behind by northbound motorist Christopher Elias, 20, of 11 Pebble Road, who was driving a 2007 Subaru Impreza sedan, police report.
There were no injuries. Elias received an infraction for following too closely, police report.
Squirrel On Road
Police report that motorist Jason Vasilescu, 33, of 1 Old Green Road was driving a 2003 BMW 325-I sedan northward near 33 Walnut Tree Hill Road about 1:05 pm June 29, as motorist Patricia Mullins, 44, of 19 Sleepy Hollow Road was driving a 2009 Honda Pilot SUV southward there.
Police said Vasilescu told them that in order to avoid striking a squirrel on the road, he swerved to the left, but collided with the approaching Honda.
There were no injuries. Police issued Vasilescu a written warning for failure to drive to the right.

Youth Arrested
Police report that at about 8:42 pm on July 18, they stopped a driver on Church Hill Road near its intersection with Walnut Tree Hill Road to investigate.
That probe resulted in police charging the 17-year-old motorist with driving with a defective headlamp and with driving with a suspended registration.
 Police released the youth on a written promise to appear in court on August 2. Because the youth is under age 18, police declined to reveal his/her identity.
Three Violations
Police report that they stopped motorist Matheus Pagote, 27, of Danbury on South Main Street near Rickyâs Shopping Plaza about 7 pm on July 16 to investigate.
Police charged Pagote with driving with an obstructed marker plate, driving under suspension, and driving without a license. After Pagote posted $500 bail, police released him for a July 29 court appearance.
Warrant
After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, Jack Hanna, 48, of 3 Mountain Manor Road, Sandy Hook, went to the police station at about 9 am July 17 to turn himself over to police.
Police charged Hanna with attempt to commit fourth-degree sexual assault and with disorderly conduct. Police said the criminal charges stem from their investigation into a May 20 complaint made against Hanna.
Police released Hanna from custody on a written promise to appear in court on August 3.
Sugar Street
Motorist Barbara Danise, 51, of Bethel was driving a 2002 Ford Escape SUV eastward near 153 Sugar Street (Route 302) about 2:45 pm on July 9, when a deer ran out onto the street and collided with the vehicle, police said. Danise was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
Ford Vs Ford
About 8:45 am on July 12, motorist Peter Heidl, 43, of Fairfield, who was driving a 2001 Ford truck on Commerce Road, attempted to make a right turn into a private driveway at 20 Commerce Road, police said.
Motorist Mark Waldorf, 39, of Seymour, who was driving a 1998 Ford station wagon behind the truck, attempted to pass the truck on the right, but collided with the truck, police said.
There were no injuries. Waldorf got a written warning for passing on the right, police said.
Vehicular Violations
About 5 pm July 18, police stopped motorist Maxwell Paynter, 19, of 34 Flat Swamp Road to investigate on Wasserman Way, near its intersection withy Trades Lane.
Police charged Paynter with failure to display a front marker plate and with driving with a suspended vehicle registration.
Paynter was released on a written promise to appear in court on August 3.
Slippery Street
About 10:52 pm July 13, motorist Thomas DeLeo, 19, of Appleblossom Lane, who was driving a 1997 Nissan, turned left from Queen Street onto Mile Hill Road, but began to skid and then spun about, striking some guardcabling along the right road shoulder, police said,.
DeLeo was not injured. Police verbally warned him for traveling too fast for conditions.
Wasserman Way
Police report they saw motorist Timothy Bristol, 24, of Waterbury driving on Wasserman Way without wearing his seatbelt about 2 pm July 17, so they stopped him on the Exit 11 on-ramp for Interstate 84 to investigate.
Police charged Bristol with failure to wear a seatbelt, misuse of a marker plate, and failure to have automotive insurance.
Bristol was released on a promise to appear July 29 in Danbury Superior Court.
Public Disturbance
Police, fire, and ambulance crews were dispatched to a report of a rollover motor vehicle accident near 180 Hanover Road at about 10:29 pm July 15.
On arriving at the scene, police determined that such an accident had not occurred.
Police said that their investigation indicated that the report of the accident was the result of a prank allegedly played by Nicholas Martin, 18, of 8 Orchard Hill Road.
Police issued Martin an infraction ticket on a charge of creating a public disturbance.Â
Farm Sign
Police report that someone sometime on July 13 stole a painted wooden sign from Castle Hill Farm at 40 Sugar Lane.
The signâs dimensions are four feet by three feet. The white sign bears maroon lettering on both sides which states in script the words: Castle Hill Farm.
Police are investigating the theft and ask anyone with knowledge of the signâs whereabouts to contact them at 203-426-5841.
Broken Glass
Police report that someone sometime between 2 and 10 am on July 21 intentionally smashed and broke a large glass window located to the left of the main entrance to Cochran House at Fairfield Hills on Mile Hill Road South.
The broken glass panel measures eight feet by eight feet. Police ask anyone who noticed suspicious activity in that area during that time period to contact them at 203-426-5841.
Evading
Police report a two-vehicle accident near 133 Berkshire Road about 11:56 pm July 15.
Motorist Crystal Daiuto, 27, of Oxford was driving a 1996 GMC Jimmy SUV eastward on Berkshire Road, as motorist Rachell Rastelli, 25, of 3 Yogananda Street was driving a 2005 Honda Civic coupe westward there, police said.Â
The GMC went out of control and went into a skid, resulting in a collision with the Honda, police said. There were no injuries.
Daiuto then drove the GMC away from the accident scene, police said. Police said they located Daiuto at her home and charged her with evading responsibility. She is scheduled to appear in court on July 30, police said.
