Audi Hits Honda
About 5:19 pm July 17, motorist Ironelix Fernandez, 22, of Danbury was driving a 1994 Honda Accord sedan northward near 71 South Main Street, when she slowed for traffic conditions, police said.
Northbound motorist Megan Keenan, 17, of 8 Farview Drive, who was driving a 1996 Audi A-6 sedan, then struck the rear end of the Honda, police said.
Ambulance volunteers transported Fernandez to Danbury Hospital to be checked for possible neck injuries, police said.
Police report they issued Keenan an infraction on charges of following too closely, distracted driving, and failure to carry an automotive insurance identification card.
Washington Avenue
Motorist Pauline Berryman, 89, of 27 Washington Avenue was driving a 1992 Toyota Camry sedan southward on that street at about 11:25 am July 15, and then attempting to make a left turn into her homeâs driveway, as motorist Jane Hayden, 24, of Monroe was driving an 2004 Subaru Impreza sedan northward there, police said.
 The two vehicles collided. There were no injuries. Police issued Berryman a written warning for making an improper turn.
Rear-Ender
About 6 pm July 11, motorist Cassie McKiernan, 33, of Ridgefield was driving a 2008 Honda Odyssey minivan carrying four passengers northward on South Main Street, and then began slowing for a red traffic signal near the entrance to Sand Hill Plaza, police said.
Northbound motorist James Morrison, 20, of Bethel, who was driving a 1989 Ford Mustang, then struck the Honda from behind. The Ford carried one passenger.
There were no injuries. Police issued Morrison an infraction for failure to keep a reasonable distance apart.
Botsford Hill Collision
Police report a two-vehicle collision near 32 Botsford Hill Road about 5 pm July 19.
Motorist Kimberly Slosson, 24, of 2 Stony Brook Road was driving a 1993 Jeep Cherokee southward, as motorist Janine Passafiume, 42, of New Milford was driving a 1999 Nissan Altima northward, police said.
At that time, as the vehicles approached one another, both were attempting to negotiate a curve in the road.
The Jeep braked and slowed, but entered the opposite lane and collided with the Nissan, police said.
Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps members transported Passafiume to Danbury Hospital for treatment of possible injuries, police said. Botsford firefighters went to the accident scene.
Police issued Slosson an infraction for failure to keep to the right.
Toyota Vs Chevy
Motorist Steven Gogliettino, 41, of 79 Riverside Road was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Impala sedan eastward near 57 Church Hill Road about 11:30 am July 20, when he stopped for traffic conditions, police said.
Eastbound motorist Deborah Gisondi, 43, of Oxford, who was driving a 1999 Toyota Camry sedan, then struck the Chevrolet from behind, police said.
There were no injuries. Police verbally warned Gisondi for following too closely.
Boulevard Impact
Motorist Katherine Hellman, 17, of Oxford was driving a 2006 Saturn Ion southward near 21 The Boulevard on July 19, when the right-side exterior mirror of the Saturn collided with the left side of a parked vacant 2002 Mazda sedan, which was positioned along the southbound shoulder of the road. There were no injuries.
Hellman stopped, found the owner of the Mazda and notified her of the collision, police said. Police verbally warned Hellman for making a restricted turn.
Mt Pleasant Road
About 5:40 pm July 17, motorist Debra Bresman, 45, of 50 Brushy Hill Road, who was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Impala sedan eastward near 79 Mt Pleasant Road, stopped for traffic conditions, after which eastbound motorist Harry Sherman, 31, of Danbury, who was driving a 2007 Ford Mustang, struck the Chevrolet from behind, police said.
There were no injuries. Police said they issued Sherman a written warning for traveling an unreasonable distance apart and for failure to renew a vehicle registration.

Saab Into Fence
 Motorist Richard Dinardo, 49, of Guilford was driving a 1996 Saab 900-S coupe eastward on Wasserman Way about 2:38 am July 20, when he made a left turn onto Berkshire Road, but fell asleep at the wheel and went off the right side of the street, colliding with a fence, police said.
Dinardo was not injured, police said. Police issued him an infraction ticket for making a restricted turn.
DUI Warrant
After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, Robert M. Gilchrest, 44, of 127 Huntingtown Road, turned himself in at the police station on the afternoon of July 20 and was charged with driving under the influence and with a travel lane violation.
Police have said that Gilchrest was driving a 1995 Isuzu Rodeo sport-utility vehicle southward on Castle Meadow Road on April 12, when the Isuzu struck a concrete bridge abutment along the northbound road shoulder. Police investigated after the collision and then sought a warrant, resulting in the charges.
After processing, Gilchrest posted $100 bail for an August 5 appearance at Danbury Superior Court, police said.
Probation Charge
After learning that police held a warrant for her arrest, Margaret Paniccia, 28, of Southbury turned herself in at the police station on July 18 and was charged with violation of probation, police said.
The underlying criminal case against Paniccia involves a July 2007 arrest stemming from a May 2007 incident in which the original charge was possession of narcotics, police said.
Police released Paniccia on $10,000 bail for an August 6 court appearance.
DUI Charge
Town police report that while on patrol about 1:43 am July 20, they were traveling on Interstate 84 to get from the area of Exit 11 to Exit 10.
Police said they saw motorist Carol Held, 34, of Orange swerving while driving on I-84âs Exit 11 on-ramp, so they stopped her to investigate.
Police said they charged her with driving under the influence, with a travel lane violation, and with driving without a license.
After processing, Held paid $100 bail for an August 7 court appearance.
Fire Lane
After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, Raffie Aryeh, 77, of 57 Eden Hill Road went to the police station on the evening of July 21 and was charged with failure to respond to an infraction and with parking in a fire lane in violation of a town ordinance.
Police said the incident stems from a fire lane parking violation earlier this year to which Aryeh did not respond.
After processing, police released Aryeh on $37 bail for an appearance on August 16 in Danbury Superior Court.
Sexual Assault
Police report they went to the home of James Cobb, 46, of 280 South Main Street about 1:20 pm July 21 and arrested him on a warrant on a charge of third-degree sexual assault. Police said they arrested Cobb without incident.
Danbury Superior Court issued the warrant on July 18, following a police investigation into a complaint received earlier this year.
Police said they held Cobb on $250,000 bail for court arraignment on the charge on July 22.
Dodge Vs Ford
Police report a two-car accident about 12:02 am July 21, which sent four people to the hospital to be treated for injuries. The collision occurred in wet conditions near 22 Botsford Hill Road, in the area where the Housatonic Railroadâs rail bridge crosses above Botsford Hill Road.
Police said motorist Annemarie Schriever, 20, of 6 Bayberry Drive was driving a 1998 Dodge Neon sedan southward on Botsford Hill Road, as motorist Jeffrey Budnik, 31, of Danbury was driving a 1994 Ford Escort sedan northward there.
The Dodge then failed to negotiate a turn in the road and collided with the Ford, which had approached the turn from the opposite direction, police said. The Dodgeâs driver told them the vehicle had skidded on the wet road, police said.
Ambulance volunteers transported Annemarie Schriever and passenger Emily Schriever, 16, of the same address, to Danbury Hospital for treatment of injuries, police said. Ambulance staffers also transported Budnik and passenger Leonel Villavicencio, 31, of Danbury to Danbury Hospital for treatment of injuries.
Botsford firefighters went to the accident. Police issued Annemarie Schriever an infraction ticket for traveling too fast for conditions.

Meadow Brook Crash
Motorist Slavica L. Prevelige, 46, of Easton was driving a 2006 Honda Pilot SUV eastward on Meadow Brook Road, near its intersection with South Main Street, about 12:49 pm July 20, when she briefly took her eyes of the road and then drove off the pavement, police said.
The Honda hit a tree stump and some bushes. Ambulance volunteers transported Prevelige to Danbury Hospital for treatment of injuries, police said.
Police said they verbally warned Prevelige for traveling too fast for conditions and for distracted driving.
Fire Truck Accident
At about 9:11 pm July 22, a Botsford Fire Rescue 1987 Pierce-Arrow fire truck, which was driven by Andrew White, 20, of 60 Castle Meadow Road, was parked parallel to an unoccupied 2006 Lincoln Mark LT pickup truck in the rear parking lot at Waterfall Plaza at 255 South Main Street, police said.
As the fire truck was exiting its parking space, it collided with the pickup truck, damaging the pickup truck, police said. There were no injuries or enforcement actions, police said.
Honda Vs Honda
Motorist Marlene Ruiz, 70, of Bethel, who was driving a 2006 Honda Accord sedan eastward on Mt Pleasant Road about 3:42 pm July 21, stopped in preparing to make a left turn into the driveway at 166 Mt Pleasant Road, police said.
Eastbound motorist Sarah Bassett, 17, of Monroe, who was driving a 1997 Honda Accord sedan, then struck the rear end of the Honda which Ruiz was driving, police said.
There were no injuries. Police issued Bassett a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
South Main Collision
About 12:25 pm July 23, motorist Karen Gardner, 64, of 6 Cannon Drive, who was driving a 2005 Honda Accord sedan southward on South Main Street, stopped to make a left turn into a commercial parking lot at 151 South Main Street, police said.
Southbound motorist Steven Bertz, Jr, 19, of 64 Charter Ridge Drive, who was driving a 2000 BMW 328-I sedan, then struck the Honda from behind, police said. There were no injuries.
Police said they issued Bertz an infraction ticket for following too closely.
Three Vehicles
About 7:48 am July 23 in wet conditions, motorist Deborah Muluck, 58, of 160 Mt Pleasant Road, who was driving a 1999 Plymouth Voyager minivan, was stopped and waiting at a red traffic signal on Mt Pleasant Road, at its intersection with Hawleyville Road, police said. Motorist Cynthia Glasson, 50, of 1 Lovellâs Lane, who was driving a 1997 Toyota RAV-4, was stopped and waiting behind the Plymouth, police said.
Motorist Jose Ayala, 20, of Danbury, who was driving a 1996 Ford Explorer, then struck the Toyota from behind, pushing the Toyota into the rear end of the Plymouth, police said.
There were no injuries. Ayala received an infraction ticket for traveling too fast for conditions, according to police.
