Ellaleen Clayton

Former Allied Signal Employee

Ellaleen Clayton of Nunnawauk Meadows died July 22 at Ashlar of Newtown after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Ms Clayton was born in Fowley, Cornwall County, United Kingdom, on December 24, 1932, a daughter of John William and Rhoda (Burley) Clayton.

Ms Clayton is survived by two sisters, Margaret Clayton-Amey and her husband, Brian, of Oxford and Rhoda Jackson of the United Kingdom. She is also survived by many much-loved nieces and nephews including Joanne Gardner of Sandy Hook. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary, and a brother, John.

She was an accountant and was last employed by Allied Signal of Stratford until her retirement.

Funeral services and interment in Cornwall, UK, will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street,  Newtown, is assisting the family
