Road Rage Incident On Interstate 84
State police said they charged two men in connection with a âroad rageâ incident that occurred about noon on July 19 on westbound Interstate 84, west of Exit 9.
State police said motorist Kenneth Rupp, 54, of 18 Great Hill Road, who was driving a 1999 Ford Explorer, slowed while on the highway and then motorist Anthony Aquila, 46, of Fairfield, who was driving a 2005 Ford commercial vehicle, attempted to drive around the Explorer.
The two vehicles then collided, but no one was injured in the crash, state police said.
State police said they received conflicting statements from the two drivers while investigating the incident.
State police issued each of the two men a misdemeanor summons on a charge of reckless driving, requiring that both mean make appearances before a judge on July 28 in Danbury Superior Court.
