Three Garner Inmates Charged In Prison Fight

State police were called to Garner Correctional Institution, the state’s high-security prison at 50 Nunnawauk Road, about 2:30 pm July 17 to investigate a fight among inmates there.

After investigating, state police charged three men each with third-degree assault in connection with the incident.

Charged were: Lawrence Andrews, 21; Frankie Resto, 32; and Fernando Bosque, 23, state police said.

Bosque received minor injuries in the fight, state police said.

All three men were scheduled for arraignment on July 18 in Danbury Superior Court.

Andrews is serving a two-year sentence in Garner on a conviction for carrying weapons without a permit; Resto is serving a 6¼-year sentence on a conviction for first-degree robbery, and Bosque is serving a 50-year sentence on a conviction for criminal conspiracy, according to the state Department of Correction.
