Devoted Mother And Grandmother
Argentina DeLorenzo Caruso, 79, of Monroe, beloved wife to the late Nunzio Caruso, died July 24, with her family by her side. Born in Modica, Sicily (Italy), she was the loving daughter of Georgina and Peter DeLorenzo.
She was the loving mother of six children, including Jennie Perry, and husband Charles, of Newtown; and leaves behind many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; as well as many friends and family in Italy. In addition to her husband, her grandson, Michael E. James, predeceased her.
A resident of Monroe for more than 41 years, she worked as a seamstress with the International Ladies Garment Workersâ Union Local 152 for nearly 35 years. Mrs Caruso devoted her entire life to her family and taking care of her home, which was always open to anyone and everyone. She loved sewing, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and most of all, she loved to cook for her entire family. Her presence made life easier for everyone.
Funeral services took place July 28. Interment was in St Johnâs Cemetery, Monroe.
