Mary Gereg Markosky, 94, of Newtown, died July 27, at Danbury Hospital. She was born March 15, 1916, in Brookfield, one of nine children of Veronika Cerviniski and Andrew Gereg.
She was married to Frank A. Markosky, resided in Danbury, and was employed by the County School Bus Service for many years.
Survivors include her daughters Anne-Marie Bouteiller, and her husband Roger, of Newtown, and Ruth-Ellen Hunt of Bethel; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs Markosky was predeceased by her husband, two sisters, and six brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled for 10:30 am, Friday, July 30, at St Peter Church, 104 Main Street, Danbury. Burial will follow at St Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of oneâs choice. The family requests kindly that flowers be omitted.
The Green Funeral Home of Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.
