Second Week Of Summer Programs

The second session of summer school programs for Special Education, Jump Start, and Continuing Educationâs Summer Music and Arts Programs (SMART) began on Monday, July 19. By Tuesday, July 27, the classes were busy in multiple rooms at Head Oâ Meadow School working on different projects.
Courses offered in this yearââs SMART program include Jewelry Design, Collage and 3-D Art, The Great Clay Adventure, Mosaics, Adventure Safari, Mask Making, Native American Art, Daphneâs Hat Shoppe, Young Authors and Illustrators, Science Wizards, Icky Sticky Ooey Gooey Chemistry, Yoga For Tweens, and Music Band Jam. Some programs also offered through Continuing Education, like the Broadway Bound program and the Accelerated Reader program at Reed Intermediate School.
Both sessions of the programs were held for two-week intervals. The first session wrapped up July 16, with a showcase of work from the courses. The second session is scheduled to be finished on Friday, July 30, after this edition of The Bee went to press.
