Family Day

Friends Of The Lake (FOTL) will host a Lake Lillinonah Family Day at the Pond Brook boat launch on Saturday, August 4, from 12:30 to 3:30 pm (please note the event will run until 3:30, not the later time that was originally posted by FOTL). Rain date will be Sunday, August 5.

Activities will include BBQ ($5 per person), demonstrations of water skiing, wake boarding, air chair and wake surfing demonstration. There will be kayak and fishing instruction for all ages, as well as rowing techniques and more.

Throughout the day tents will be set up from a variety of groups and sponsors offering hands-on demonstrations for people of all ages.

Boaters can pull up and drop anchor in front of the Newtown Boat Launch. Boats will be available to shuttle guests to and from land. The town boat launch will be closed to make room for this event.

Friends of the Lake (FOTL) was founded five years ago as a vocal advocate for the protection of Lake Lillinonah, and to build a strong lake community. The lake is a destination for a variety of activities throughout the year.

The goal of Family Day is to bring together neighbors while offering an opportunity to demonstrate the many activities available to those who love the lake and all it has to offer.
