Complaints Lodged Against Monroe Fitness Center

MONROE -- Complaints have been filed with the Monroe Police Department against

the now-defunct New Image Fitness Club in Monroe.

Monroe police Public Information Officer Dan Brennan said Monroe police are

investigating to determine if any criminal activity was associated with the

taking of money by New Image for memberships and/or membership renewals.

The complaints filed against the former business include three filed by

Newtown residents, Officer Brennan said. The fitness center closed for

business in April. It was located at Clock Tower Square, 477 Main Street,

(Route 25).

Those who believe they have been victimized by the fitness center are asked to

contact the Monroe police detective bureau at 203-261-3622.
