Reward Offered For Arson Information
A $2,500 reward is being offered by the state for information leading to the
conviction of the person or persons who set fire to an isolated Hoseye Coach
Road home under construction in Sandy Hook.
Police Sergeant Henry Stormer, who is a deputy town fire marshal, said
Thursday the reward money is being offered through the state's arson hotline
program.
Sometime overnight on February 14-15, someone set fire to the house of Daniel
Garcia at 1 Hoseye Coach Road, causing complete destruction estimated at
$60,000 by Fire Marshal George Lockwood.
The isolated area is a known party spot for teenagers, according to police.
The fire wasn't discovered and reported until about 3:30 pm on February 15.
Sandy Hook and Botsford firefighters responded to the call.
Anyone with information about the fire may contact Sgt Stormer at the police
station at 426-5841.
