OBITS (Bedford; Steiff)

Linda Diane Bedford

Linda Diane (Williams) Bedford, 51, of Gilbert, Ariz., daughter of the late

Thomas Williams and Helen (Lasecki) Williams, died September 15.

An elementary school teacher in Gilbert, she was born in Bridgeport, and was a

former resident of Newtown and Trumbull.

Survivors include her devoted children, Amy Combs of Apache Junction, Ariz.,

and Laura Bedford of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren; a sister, Diane

Williams of Gilbert, Ariz.; and her beloved companion, John Lundgran.

Funeral services were held in Gilbert. A memorial Mass was held on November 14

in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1300 Stratford Road, Stratford .

Leon Steiff

Leon Steiff of Boca Raton, Fla. and Peabody, Mass., brother of Rose Soll of

Newtown, died November 13. He was the husband of Charlotte (Goldberg) Steiff.

In addition to his wife and sister, he is survived by three daughters, Ellen

Beth Zunick of Trumbull, Ronda Sirot of Winthrop, Mass., and Sharon Steiff of

Brookline, Mass.; and two grandchildren, Michael and Jonathan Zunick. He was

pre-deceased by a brother, George Steiff.

Services were held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, Brookline, Mass., on

November 15.

Donations in his memory may be made to Congregation Torah Ohr, 19146 Lyons

Road, Boca Raton, Fla. 33434, Young Israel of Brookline, Mass., or the

American Cancer Society.
