SNAPSHOT: BEVERLY DUNIFON

Occupation: I've been the Prodigal Teller, back and forth at Fleet Bank, since

1967.

Family: I'm a third generation Newtowner. I live with my mother, Flora Story,

and I have two children, John and Jodi Lennon. John, who takes after his

grandfather, Clyde Story, runs a horse and cattle ranch in New Mexico. My

daughter, more gregarious than her brother, is an actress and comedian in New

York.

Pets: My mother always says, not another pet, but our dog, Nellie, is one of

the sweetest and most appreciative animals. We are glad to have her. She comes

from the pound, and pound dogs always understand when someone saves them.

Biggest Change in Town: The biggest change has been the amount of people whom

I do not know. I don't know everyone as I formerly did. While it's nice to

have the influx, I miss the small town feeling.

Movies: Giant, starring Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson, is a favorite

because it demonstrates the strength of women and the lengths they will go to

keep a family together.

Books: I enjoyed The Horse Whisperer immensely because of my dad. He was a

great guy, into his family, and he let you know it and everyone else know it,

too.

Philosophy: Do your best. A sense of humor never hurt.
