READING, PA -- Pennypacker-Andrews Auction Centre, Inc., of Shillington, Pa.,

hour exhibition. The Gouglersville Fire Company banquet hall was the site,
accommodating approximately 600 attendees, with half holding bidding numbers.

competitive bidding in the audience.
"This was the second half of the collection," said Cathy Pennypacker-Andrews,

clock garnered $4,180.

dishes made $660; a "Cashmere" platter went at $907.50; and a "Cashmere" Flow
Blue teapot also made $660. A painted candle box was purchased at $3,080; and
a sponge decorated miniature blanket chest achieved $2,860.
"Washing Day," a Jules Rozier oil on canvas, reached $2,090; a David Ellinger
watercolor of a parrot made $412.50; an F.F. English watercolor made $770; and
a pair of Fonceca watercolors of gentlemen made $1,320.
An Oberly-Womelsdorf coverlet was snapped up at $2,200; and a walnut
slant-front desk sold for the same amount. A fine example of an A. Thomson of
Glasgow tall case clock reached $2,090; an ornate gold gilt mirror went out at
$1,870; an oak mirrored back round china closet garnered $1,760; and a
Victorian hair wreath memorial was purchased at $1,705.
