Bus Trip To The Yiddish Book Center

DANBURY — The Jewish Federation will sponsor a bus trip to The Yiddish Book Center located on the campus of Hampshire College. Amherst, Mass., on Thursday, September 7. The bus will leave the parking lot of the federation at 9:15 am and will return about 5 pm. The group will stop for lunch at a local restaurant in Massachusetts. The Yiddish Book Center is the realization of a dream Aaron Lansky had as a young adult. It is now an $8 million structure housing 1.3 million books saved from destruction.

The cost of the trip, which includes a donation to the Yiddish Book Center, is $25 per person. Call The Jewish Federation at 792-6353 to make a reservation for the day trip.
