Harriet Talcik Laliots, RN

Nursing Instructor

At St Vincent’s College

Harriet Talcik Laliots, RN, of Shelton and wife of Dr Victor Laliots, died August 16, at Wicke Health Rehab and Care, Shelton. She was born in Shelton, July 23, 1926, the daughter of John and Mary DuBrava Talcik and was a lifelong resident.

Two children survive Mrs Laliots, including Sandra Bradt-Muller and husband, Edward, of Newtown. She is also survived by two grandchildren.

She was a graduate of St Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing, receiving her BS degree at the University of Bridgeport in 1965 and her MA degree from Fairfield University in 1980. She worked as a nurse for 35 years in various positions, and as a nursing instructor at St Vincent’s College for the last 15 years.

She was a communicant of St Margaret Mary Church and a member of the Ladies Guild of the Church and a past secretary, a member of St Vincent Retirees. Mrs Laliots was also a member of the Shelton Senior Citizens and the Literacy Volunteers of America.

Funeral services were held August 19. Burial was in Mt St Peter’s Cemetery, Derby.
