A Wonderful Week For Bible School
A Wonderful Week For Bible School
To the Editor:
I am writing this on behalf of the Newtown Congregational Churchâs Vacation Bible School. We have finished a wonderful week of learning, song, and lots of fun.
There are many people that need to be thanked, because they made this week a wonderful success.
First we would like to thank the Newtown Savings Bank for tolerating all the comings and goings in their parking lot.
Next, I would like to thank the people and businesses that provided snacks for our kids. Patty at the Big Y, the manager at Stop & Shop, Michele and Ted at Costco, Patty at Grand Union, and Kathy at Stew Leonardâs for their generous donations of gift certificates. Also many thanks to Dominic and Rich at Dunkinâ Donuts and Eunice at Bagelman for the delicious doughnuts and bagels from their eateries. I think the kids enjoyed all the snacks!
Most of all I want to thank all the Moms who gave so generously of their time and efforts to help pick up the food, set up the snacks, deliver them to the rooms of the children and teachers, and clean up the leftovers afterward. I never could have pulled this off without your tremendous help (and your children would have gone hungry!).
Thank you again to all. This is truly a wonderful community we live in!
