A Flower Show

BROOKFIELD — The Garden Club of Brookfield will hold a standard flower show, “Mother Nature – Father Time,” on Friday and Saturday, September 15 and 16, at The Congregational Church Hall in Brookfield.

Visitors will be able to see more than 30 artistic arrangements and dozens of specimens of horticultural excellence. In addition, there will be four educational exhibits, focusing on the Asian long-horned beetle, Brookfield Nature Center, the art of drying and preserving flowers, and the Colonial garden at Brookfield Historical Society.

Hours on Friday will be from 1 to 5 pm, and on Saturday, from 9 am to 2 pm. The Congregational Church Hall is in Brookfield Center at the intersection of Routes 25 and 133, easily accessible from Exit 9 off Route 84.

Admission is free and light refreshments will be available.
