McMurrough Wins 10K

Micaela (Hurley) McMurrough, a former Newtown resident, was the first woman to cross the finish line at the Shelton Sunset 10K Hope for the Warriors Road Race on August 29. She posted a time of 41:03 on an 88 degree day. McMurrough, who resides in New York City, will participate in the NYC Marathon as a team member for the Hope for the Warriors organization which donates proceeds to assist wounded soldiers.
