Frances Dedrick

Loved Family

Frances Dedrick, 92, of Fairfield, died September 1 in her home. Born in Newtown, the daughter of John and Mary Johnson, Mrs Dedrick had been a Fairfield resident for 45 years.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 41 years, Norman L. Dedrick, Sr, of Fairfield; a brother, John Johnson of Newtown; four children, Charles Walters and his wife, Barbara, of Southbury, Shirley Schepp and her husband, Frank, of Huntington, Norman L. Dedrick, Jr, and his wife, Mirella, of Trumbull, and Scott Dedrick of Long Island, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Irene Guild; and two sisters, Agnes Craig and Eva Miller.

Mrs Dedrick loved time spent with her family.

Calling hours were scheduled for Thursday, September 4, from 4 to 7 pm at Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road in Fairfield, with a prayer service to conclude the visitation at 7 pm, with the Reverend Todd Shipley officiating. An interment service was to be held Friday, September 5, at 11 am, at the State Veteran’s Cemetery, Middletown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 96 Oak Street, Hartford CT 06106.
