Amanda Black

Black competed in the 5K Newtown Road Race during Labor Day Weekend. It was her first ever race and Black placed third in the 20-29 female age group. She ran along with several of her family members. Black is a former field hockey player at Newtown High and recently graduated from Keene State College in Keene, NH.

Best part about the race: “Being able to run with everybody else. It was exhilarating.”

Toughest aspect: “The hills.”

Favorite food: “There’s not one food that isn’t my favorite food.”

Team she roots for: New York Yankees.
