Unusual Trio To
Open Library Concert Series
SOUTHBURY â The Friends of Southbury Public Library have partnered with the Leroy Anderson Family to expand the libraryâs program of music concerts.
The 2010-11 concerts will begin this month and will feature TriCordes, New Englandâs only regularly performing violin, cello and guitar trio. The free program will be on Friday, September 24, at 7 pm, in the Kingsley meeting room of the library, 100 Poverty Road.
Formed in 2005, TriCordes performs original pieces by familiar composers Haydn and Paganini, as well as transcriptions by Bach. In addition, TriCordes rounds out its programs with charming works by lesser known classical masters such as Giuliani and Fossa, and daring new works by composers from around the world, such as Ester Magi, Rene Eespere, Bryan Johanson, David Leisner, and Jorge Morel.
Registration is required for this program. For more information or to register call 203-262-0626 extension 130.
