A Carnival For Veterans
On Sunday, September 9, members of the Ladies Auxiliary of Post 308, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) participated in the annual fall carnival at the Rock y Hill Veterans Home in Rocky Hill, Conn.

The US Navy Color Guard escorted veterans in wheelchairs to the affair while the National Anthem was played and sung. Naval officers also cooked a barbecue lunch for the veterans and provided a coffee and donut breakfast.
Attending the event were Karen Pratt, 308 president; Carol Lockwood, treasurer; Evelyn urban, junior vice president; Joann Peck, District One junior vice president; David Peck, Frank Furze, and Jillian Pratt.
